Before launching JMB Business Services Janet Brindley worked as technical and finance officer for a renewable energy consultancy North Energy Associates www.northenergy.co.uk .
During that time she looked after all the finances of the business and also provided technical and IT support to the consultants. This included bookkeeping, accounts, research, report writing, databases and spreadsheets. The technical support could be anything from producing spreadsheets to calculate the carbon savings that can be reached by installing renewable energy equipment to providing learning materials for Durham County Council and information leaflets.

Janet obtained her degree in geology and astronomy with the Open University, where she also took the Renewable Energy module T265, and has also completed the Directors and Key managers course at Durham University Business School, City & Guilds Systems Analysis and NEBMS Cert in supervisory Management.
